Sonny Chen

Dr. Chen graduated from Tianjin Medical University in 2001 and received his Medical Master’s Degree in 2009 from XiangYa Medical School of Central South University. From 2008 to 2009, he acted as a class leader of the First Advanced Diagnostic Radiology Training Course, sponsored by the Hainan Ministry of Health and XiangYa Second Hospital of Central South University.

Dr. Chen has almost twenty years of clinical experience. Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics in 2017, Dr. Chen served in the Haikou Municipal People’s Hospital as an Attending Radiologist and specialized in imaging diagnosis of routing X-ray, CT, MRI, and contrast fluoroscopy. In 2011 and 2013, Dr. Chen was on secondment to serve as the Director of the Radiology Department of the Ledong Second People’s Hospital and the Second People’s Hospital of Hainan Province, respectively.

Dr. Chen is a member of the Chinese Doctor Association and the Radiology Society of North America. From 2014 to 2016, Dr. Chen was hired as a postdoctor and participated in multiple research projects on chemoprevention and transformation of lung cancer at the Cancer Center of the Medical College of Wisconsin in U.S. He has published multiple academic papers in prominent medical journals.
