Introduction

The Neurosurgery Clinic is backed by the Chinese Institute of Neuroscience and its team of renowned, internationally-trained specialists. Additionally, we benefit from the established structure of BJU’s service excellence management framework. Currently, we provide treatment for traumatic brain injuries, cerebrovascular diseases, intracranial tumors, spinal cord tumors, degenerative spinal diseases, and tumors at the base of the skull.

The Neurosurgery Clinic is unique in mainland China for being the only neurosurgery center to receive accreditation by both Joint Commission International (JCI) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Our mission is to provide high-quality, international-standard healthcare services to neurosurgical patients in China and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

With the only international-standard emergency room in Beijing, BJU has a neurosurgeon on-call to assess and treat cerebrovascular conditions 24 hours a day. BJU has the full, around-the-clock support of the hospital’s auxiliary services, such as the Laboratory and Radiology, so patients with acute cerebrovascular conditions can immediately receive surgery if needed.

We currently have 14 inpatient beds and are equipped to provide the following services and treatments:

  • Minimally-invasive neurosurgery
  • Interventional neurosurgery
  • Stereotactic neuronavigation
  • Neuroendoscopy
  • Stereotactic radiotherapy
