Biography

Dr. Gao graduated from Peking Union Medical College with an M.D. in Internal Medicine and is an Associate Chief Physician in Family Medicine. She completed her residency training at the Beijing Military General Hospital. She later worked in the Nephrology Department of the Beijing Military General Hospital and China-Japan Friendship Hospital for eight years. In 2005, she started to practice Family Medicine in international hospitals and clinics.

In 2013, she joined the BJU Family Medicine team and was named Associate Director of Family Medicine. Finally in 2024, she was named Medical Director of the Center of Excellence for Family Medicine and Health Management for Beijing, as well as the Chair of the Family Medicine Clinical Network for United Family Healthcare.

Dr. Gao specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of common, acute, and chronic diseases in Family Medicine, with a particular focus on providing solutions for disease prevention and long-term management of chronic illnesses. She has a long history of providing healthcare and disease diagnosis and treatment to a large number of Chinese and expat patients. She has rich teaching experience and has participated in many general practice training and teaching programs both inside and outside the hospital. She has participated in the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Chinese Medicine Administration of China (CMA) research fund programs, and has published several treatises, reviews, and abstracts in national and international core journals.
Dr. Gao serves as a Standing Committee Member of the First Committee of the General Practice Branch of the Chinese Association of Non-public Medical Institutions.
