Biography

With over 20 years of clinical experience in ultrasound, Dr. Xu graduated from the Beijing Military Medical College of the People’s Liberation Army in 2004 and obtained his master’s degree in 2013.

Before joining United Family Healthcare, he worked at the Ultrasound Department of the Naval General Hospital of the People’s Liberation Army. Since joining UFH in 2019, Dr. Xu has been instrumental in advancing new ultrasound services such as musculoskeletal ultrasound, gastric ultrasound contrast, lung ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided intervention ablation. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Ultrasound Department at Beijing United Family Hospital.

Dr. Xu is proficient in various subspecialties of ultrasound, including abdominal, small organs, peripheral vessels, and musculoskeletal systems. He specializes in the diagnosis of complex abdominal and peripheral vascular cases, differential diagnosis of thyroid and breast masses, ultrasound diagnosis of musculoskeletal system sports injuries and autoimmune diseases, as well as ultrasound-guided tissue biopsy and intervention therapy (such as catheter drainage, tumor and vascular ablation, etc.). Dr. Xu has published over 20 articles as the first author in core journals.

Dr. Xu holds various positions in professional organizations, including committee member of the Ultrasound Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Beijing Non-Public Healthcare Association Ultrasound Specialty Committee member.
