Dr. Zhang earned her medical degree from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her clinical and experimental research is devoted to scalp acupuncture. Her research is directed toward cluster needling of the scalp point, combined with rehabilitation of stroke patients’ neurological functioning. She is experienced in treating movement and language disorders among stroke patients, all kinds of pain, Bell’s paralysis, chronic diseases, obesity, gynecologic endocrine dysfunction, and postpartum disorders through traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
Dr. Zhang is an expert at the Beijing Natural Science Foundation and a junior member of the Beijing Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. She has presided over and is involved in national and provincial research projects, and she won first prize at the provincial level in science and technology progress. Dr. Zhang has attended international professional conferences several times and published 14 papers in well-known domestic and international journals, including the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. Her work has also been published by Union Medical College Press.
