Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Family Fair

On Saturday, December 13, 2014, Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics (BJU) held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Family Fair. About 200 guests turned out for the event, which benefited the United Foundation for China’s Health (UFCH), dedicated to aiding underserved populations in China. BJU had set a goal of raising a sizeable RMB 30,000 for UFCH – and was thrilled to meet its goal by day’s end. Not just a charity benefit, the event offered fun for all ages. In addition to the hourly charity auction, BJU hosted an hourly raffle, leaving many attendees with a smile as they walked off with multiple gifts. A family fair and children’s activities rounded out the daytime portion. Santa arrived just in time for the lighting of BJU’s Christmas tree, decked out in silver and blue, and all the children gathered ‘round as he handed out candy from his sack. All and all, it was a day of good cheer – and good fundraising – to celebrate the 2014 holiday season.
