Sign Up for the Beijing Marathon at BJU

marathon-a

Running enthusiasts, this one’s for you! If you’re a big runner (and by that we mean if you’re into big runs) then you no doubt know that the Beijing Marathon is coming up. The event will take place on Sunday, September 17 and the route will take runners past iconic Beijing landmarks like Tiananmen Square and Beijing’s Olympic stadiums.

This year, like last year, Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) will be supporting the event as the main medical sponsor. We will also serve as the main point of access for foreign nationals wishing to sign up for the race in person.

While the number of Chinese runners (including those from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) is limited, there is no limit to the number of non-Chinese nationals that can participate. You can sign up for the race at your nearest BJU location, whether it be the main hospital or one of our satellite clinics.

To register at BJU’s main hospital, you can go to the first floor of Building 2. Please see the map below for directions.

If you wish to register at one of BJU’s satellite clinics, you can go directly to their reception. Please consult the list below for registration times at each BJU location.

When you come to BJU to register, please bring the following:

  • A photocopy of your passport, as well as the original copy for verification;
  • If you are registering other runners on their behalf, you will need to bring their passports and a photocopy (with the runner’s written declaration authorizing you to register on his/her behalf), as well as your own ID and a photocopy of that;
  • Cash for the registration fee. This is RMB340 per person.
  • Foreign registrants are welcome to join the official WeChat group for non-Chinese nationals running the race (QR code below). This will be the main platform for coordinating registration and will be an important resource for foreigners running the marathon. It will not be useful for Chinese nationals running the marathon.
