Gastrointestinal Surgery

The Gastrointestinal Surgery team at Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) is comprised of highly experienced surgeons, most of whom have worked overseas or obtained their specialty training abroad. We focus on the treatment of colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, benign or malignant abdominal tumors, bowel obstruction, colorectal polyps, diverticulitis, perforation of peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal tract bleeding, appendicitis, abdominal injury, and achalasia. Together with our multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, medical imaging specialists, and pathologists, we aim to provide individualized and holistic treatment plans.

Hepatobiliary Surgery

The Hepatobiliary Surgery team at Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) is comprised of highly experienced surgeons, most of whom have worked overseas or obtained their specialty training abroad. We focus on the surgical treatment of cholelithiasis (including gallbladder stones, choledocholithiasis), cholecystitis, gallbladder polyps, obstructive jaundice, liver cysts and abscesses, benign or malignant hepatic and biliary tumors, liver injury, pancreatic tumors, and pancreatitis.

Thyroid Surgery

The Thyroid Surgery team at Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) is comprised of highly experienced surgeons, most of whom have worked overseas or obtained their specialty training abroad.  We focus on the surgical treatment of thyroid nodules, thyroid carcinoma, and hyperthyroidism.

Colorectal Surgery

The Colorectal Surgery team at Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) is comprised of highly experienced surgeons, most of whom have worked overseas or obtained their specialty training abroad. We focus on the surgical treatment of hemorrhoids, anal fistula, anal fissure, perianal abscess, rectal prolapse, and constipation.

Types of surgery include but are not limited to:

  • Hemorrhoidectomy under local or general anesthesia
  • Day case overnight stay stapled (or Procedure For Prolapsed Hemorrhoids, PPH) hemorrhoidopexy
  • Outpatient ligation procedure
  • Incision and anal abscess drainage under local or general anesthesia
  • Minimally invasive procedure for anal fistula
