Zifen QIAN

Dr. Qian Zifen received his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University. He then did further post-graduate training at the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Beijing) in conjunction with a course taken at Washing University (USA). Dr. Qian completed his residency at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) Hospital (Beijing). After working there for nine years, he became a lecturer in general medicine and in Traditional Chinese Medicine. While at PUMC Hospital, he became a visiting doctor in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine for five years before becoming an associate professor. Before he joined BJU in August 2011, he taught TCM for 11 years as a professor at PUMC Hospital.

Dr. Qian has published 10 books and more than 40 papers in the area of TCM. He is especially interested in TCM applications for cardiovascular and gastrointestinal diseases. He is also a member of the Chinese Medical Association.
