Biography

Dr. Fike received his medical degree from Columbia University, completed his residency training in family medicine at the University of California in San Francisco, and received a degree in public health (with an emphasis in epidemiology and biostatistics) from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Fike has worked in a variety of interesting and often challenging locations. He served as a General Medical Officer at United States Public Health Service Hospitals on American Indian reservations across the Northern Great Plains and Rocky Mountain region as well as serving as an emergency physician in California, Washington (Seattle area), Montana, and Wyoming. Prior to arriving in Beijing, he practiced for five years as a primary care physician with the Permanente Medical Group in Seattle and a further five years as a primary care physician with the Piedmont Hospital Physicians Group in Atlanta. He has over 30 years’ experience and his specialty is acute and chronic medical conditions in children and adults.

Dr. Fike is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine.
