Baoguo CHEN

Dr. Baoguo Chen graduated from Peking Union Medical College (School of Medicine, Tsinghua University) with a Master’s degree in Plastic Surgery in 2011. In 2018, Dr. Chen became an International Scholar award recipient at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is the sixth doctor from mainland China to receive this award. Under the support of ASPS, Dr. Chen studied in the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute.

Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Chen worked in the Burns and Plastic Surgery Department of the PLA General Hospital’s Fourth Medical Center (formerly 304 Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of the PLA General Hospital) and has 10 years of practical experience in plastic and cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Chen specializes in all kinds of children and adults scar and scar contracture deformity treatment, repair and reconstruction of huge wound after tumor resection (using perforator flap to achieve the economy of tissue repair), breast reconstruction after mastectomy and various breast plastic surgery treatments (prosthetic breast augmentation, reduction of giant breast, reduction of nipple and areola, inverted nipple, asymmetric breast treatment, removal of breast injection, etc.), and repair and reconstruction after craniomaxillofacial trauma. He also has expertise in all kinds of conventional cosmetic surgery, such as the double eyelid, pouch, nose comprehensive plastic surgery, microinjection plastic surgery, whole body liposuction plastic surgery, facial refined fat filling, comprehensive treatment for facial skin relaxation, etc.

Dr. Chen has published 18 SCI papers as the first author, with a total of influencing factors of more than 40. He has also published 10 academic papers in core domestic journals.
