LIU, Jixi

Dr. Liu graduated from Peking Union Medical College and before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Liu worked in the Department of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital.

Dr. Liu has vast experience in internal medicine, previously working in the Department of Internal Medicine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital from 2002 to 2005; the Department of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at Centro Hospitalar Conde Sao Januario in Macau from 2007 to 2010; and Alborg University Hospital in Denmark. Dr. Liu is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, Helicobacter pylori related disease, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, alcoholic liver disease, autoimmune hepatic disease, and autoimmune pancreatitis. As an expert in endoscopy, Dr. Liu specializes in the endoscopic diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancer, neuroendocrine neoplasm, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors.

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Liu has participated in several research projects at the national level. He has authored and co-authored seven medical books and has published over 50 papers, including over ten scientific articles. He is also a member and director of several academic and professional groups, including the Neuroendocrine Study Group of the China Anticancer Union; the Colorectal Diseases Branch of the Beijing Medical Union; the Intestinal Diseases, Helicobacter Pylori, and Early Cancer Groups of the Beijing Medical Association; and the Early Cancer and Pathology Groups of the Beijing Gastrointestinal Association.

Dr. Liu is also interested in health promotion. As a special guest, he has previously given talks about alcohol and health on CCTV4 in 2012; the treatment and prevention of ulcerative colitis on people.cn in 2014; and gastrointestinal endoscopy under anesthesia on China National Radio in 2019. He has contributed to hundreds of articles on disease prevention, published on several acknowledged websites.
