MABASO, Lungile

Dr. Lungile Mabaso received her medical degree from Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, in 2007. In her practice as a pediatrician, she has received extensive training in all areas of pediatric care, including neonatal intensive care (high care, KMC, postnatal care), pediatric inpatient and outpatient conditions, and pediatric emergency care.

Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Mabaso worked in the following South African hospitals: Madadeni Hospital, Newcastle Hospital, Addington Hospital, and Vredendal Hospital. It was in these institutions that she gained all her experience in child healthcare. She has also worked in the private sector.

Dr. Mabaso has over 10 years of clinical experience in pediatrics and is in the process of completing her residency in pediatrics and her master’s in Medicine. In addition to her medical training, Dr. Mabaso is a qualified teacher who loves teaching. She is also involved in charity work, giving back to underprivileged children. She is currently linked with the Thembalethu Care Centre in Durban, South Africa and plans to get involved with more charities whilst here in China.

Dr. Mabaso speaks English, Sotho, Xhosa, and Zulu.
