Biography

Dr. Li graduated from Capital Medical University in 1984, and completed his residency training at Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital. He then received his MD from the department of surgery at Trinity College, University of Dublin. After this, he pursued further training in video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Li currently is the chief physician, doctoral supervisor, and director of the department of thoracic surgery at Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, Capital Medical University.

Dr. Li served as the chief of the thoracic surgery division at the General Hospital of the PLA Navy, and as a professor at the Second and the Third Military Medical Universities of the PLA. He is currently the chair of the department of thoracic surgery at Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, Capital Medical University.

Dr. Li is an international member of the STS, and a member of the IASLC. He is also a senior fellow at the Chinese Medical Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. He is vice chairman of the Beijing Association of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Li now serves on the editorial board of several medical journals, including the Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, and the China Journal of Lung Cancer. In the past five years, he has published more than 40 papers in both Chinese and international medical Journals.
