Xiaodong ZHANG

Dr. Zhang Xiaodong graduated from the Capital Medical University Department of Medicine in 1984 and has been engaged in the chemotherapy of digestive tract neoplasms in Peking University School of Oncology since 1995. She is currently working in the Department of Digestive Medicine in Peking University Cancer Hospital.

Dr. Zhang is skilled in chemotherapy of digestive tract neoplasms mainly including the chemotherapy of neoplasms of the stomach, intestine, esophagus, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas, the diagnosis and treatment of gastric precancerous diseases and precancerous lesions, and the photodynamic therapy of digestive tract tumors.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Zhang is also responsible for a number of domestic and international multi-center clinical studies. She has published many peer-reviewed papers in domestic and international core journals and has participated in the compilation of 4 medical monographs. Her main research directions include the chemotherapy and early diagnosis and treatment of the recurrence and metastasis of digestive tract neoplasms, the chemotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy for advanced esophageal carcinoma, gastric cancer, gastric cardia cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic and bile duct carcinomas, and molecular biology research on the recurrence and metastasis of gastric cancer.
