Biography

Dr. Su Xiangqian graduated from Beijing Medical University, receiving a master’s degree in Oncology. His international training includes the Asian Minimally Invasive Surgery Center (Hong Kong) and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s Laparoscopic Surgery Education Program. He worked at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center as a senior visiting scholar, where he engaged in clinical and research work related to gastrointestinal cancer with Cancer Center Director, Professor Harvey Herschman.

Dr. Su currently practices at Peking University Cancer Hospital, serves as Deputy Director of the hospital, Deputy Dean of the Beijing Institute for Cancer Research and Department Chair of Minimally-Invasive Surgery Department for Gastrointestinal Tumors. He specializes in gastrointestinal cancer, specifically stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, gallbladder cancer, liver cancer and retroperitoneal tumor surgery. He has a wealth of experience with both standard tumor surgeries and laparoscopic surgeries.

Dr. Su is currently a board member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the European Association for Transluminal Surgery (EATS), and the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA).
