Biography

Dr. Geng received her Medical Degree from Wuhan University School of Medicine and was later awarded a Medical Master’s Degree from Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University (Hubei General Hospital), specializing in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Geng has accumulated 16 years of experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She is experienced in diagnosing and treating various digestive diseases, liver diseases, and pancreatic diseases. Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics, she worked at Beijing Chuiyangliu Hospital. Dr. Geng is well versed in endoscopy and “video capsule endoscopy” diagnosis. Dr. Geng is highly experienced in treating refractory Helicobacter pylori infection and inflammatory bowel disease, including complex and severe Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, using a multidisciplinary approach and biological treatments.

Dr. Geng is also proficient in treating acute and critical digestive diseases, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreatitis, acute severe ulcerative colitis, and digestive tumors. She has hosted and been involved in multiple team consultations for complex cases.

In recent years, Dr. Geng has actively participated in developing research projects, published many academic papers in journals such as the Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy and the Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine. She has previously been a keynote speaker and lecturer at various national digestive and liver disease conferences. In 2017, Dr. Geng participated in the first national “video capsule endoscopy” image competition and came in third place in Beijing.

Dr. Geng served as a member of the “Gastric Cancer Professional Committee” of the Beijing Association of Oncology and is a member of the Beijing Medical Association, Digestive Disease Branch’s “Functional Gastrointestinal Disease Group.”

Dr. Geng was a visiting scholar at the Liver Diseases and Endoscopy Center,  Mississippi Medical College Hospital in December 2017. She also received specialty training at Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Advanced Endoscopy Center, located at Yale University Medical School.
