Xinxiao, GAO

Dr. Gao received his Doctorate in Ophthalmology from Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University in 2016. Dr. Gao completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Peking University People’s Hospital in 2009, where he rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from conjunctivitis to retinal disease.
Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Gao served in the Department of Ophthalmology from Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University as an expert in the treatment of ocular surface disease and astigmatism, cataract surgery, medical retina and vitrectomy.
Dr. Gao has over 10 years of extensive clinical experience. In addition to specializing in the treatment and diagnosis of general Ophthalmology, he also completed a medical retina fellowship at Osaka University. From November 2016 to February 2018, Dr. Gao completed his fellow training and postdoctoral research from Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gao has published a couple of papers in prominent medical journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Gao is board certified by the International Council of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Ophthalmology Association.
