Biography

Ms. Stella Yang received her MA in Continuing Education and Psychological Counseling from Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education (Germany). She then trained as a psychotherapist in the field of behavioral therapy at the Association for the Advancement of Clinical Behavioral Therapy (VFKV). She is a registered psychotherapist in the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Germany.

Ms. Yang completed her internship at the Dr. Rohde Clinic and the Josefinum Hospital. During this time, she received many of intellectual and psychological development level tests and assessment trainings and engaged in testing and assessment work(e.g., WISC-V, K-ABC, SON-R, IDS-2, ADOS-2, ADI-R, SRS-2, etc.). Then she worked as a child and adolescent psychotherapist at Outpatient Clinic of the VFKV and the Kirinus Clinic. Ms. Yang uses cognitive behavioral therapy as the main orientation, integrating Family System Therapy, Psychoanalysis, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy(MBCT), Animal-Assisted Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy. From an intercultural perspective, she is always attentive to individual difference, personal life experiences, religious backgrounds, national customs. In particular, she has experience improving family interaction and enhancing parent-child relationships (including mother-child relationship), treating patients with ADHD, social behavior disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, performance issues, trauma therapy, autism training and couple therapy.
