Lan MU

Dr. Mu received her medical degree from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Science in Guangzhou and her Ph.D in plastic surgery from Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). Dr. Mu went overseas to learn the most advanced theories and techniques, including Gent University in Belgium, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center,   Louisiana State University, University of California Los Angeles, and Royal Hospital in Liverpool, UK.

Dr. Mu has extensive experience in treating, researching new methods, and training clinicians in plastic surgery medicine. She specializes in breast augmentative and reconstructive surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, female intimate surgery, and rejuvenative plastic surgery.

Currently, she is professor of the Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery Department at Peking University People’s Hospital, and is an attending specialist at Beijing United Family Hospital.

Dr. Mu has nearly 34 years of clinical practice experience. Besides focusing on plastic and aesthetic surgery, she also has a keen interest in advanced theories, especially the use of technology related to breast augmentation and reconstructive surgery. She is the chief editor of more than 100 published papers, has  edited more than 60 academic works, and participated in the writing of 26 books. She is the proud recipient of many prestigious awards, both national and international.
