Biography

Dr. Hee King SU received his medical degree from National Defense Medical Centre, Taipei, in 2004 and later obtained his Master’s Degree in pediatric emergency medicine in 2015 from University of Edinburgh. Dr. Su completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Shin Kong Wu Ho-Hsu Hospital, Taipei, in 2009 and subsequently completed his fellowship training in emergency medicine ultrasound and disaster medicine in 2010 and 2011 respectively. In 2013, he received postgraduate training in prehospital care and emergency medicine at Chinese University of Hong Kong and Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong.

Dr. Su joined BJU Emergency Medicine Department in 2019. Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Su worked as a consultant in a tertiary hospital in Taipei and a private hospital in Malaysia. Dr. Su has over 15 years of clinical experience, with extensive experience in critical care medicine, toxicology, trauma, and prehospital care. Dr. Su has passion in teaching and has been invited to give multiple lectures. His main teaching interests are airway management, prehospital care, pediatric emergency medicine, toxicology, trauma, and the use of bedside ultrasound in clinical practice.

Dr. Su is a board certified Emergency Medicine Specialist in both Taiwan and Malaysia.  He is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS), Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
