Fucheng SUN

Dr. Sun graduated from Shandong Medical University (now Shandong University Medical School) in 1984. He joined the Internal Medicine Department of Beijing Hospital in September 1984 and is currently the chief physician in the department. He is a professor and postgraduate advisor at Peking University Health Science Center. Dr. Sun has many years of overseas work and study experience. From 1993, he has studied and worked in the heart center of Duke University Medical Center in the United States, the heart center of Asan University in South Korea, and the heart center of Catherina hospital in the Netherlands.

Dr. Sun is a specially invited expert at Beijing United Family Hospital. He specializes in transradial coronary intervention technology, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), intracoronary radiotherapy, rotational atherectomy, coronary fractional flow reserve, and treatment strategies and operation skills of complex coronary lesions. He also has rich experience in using drug-coated balloons to treat de novo lesions and restenosis lesions. In recent years, Dr. Sun carried out Excimer Laser Coronary Angioplasty (ELCA), combining drug-coated balloons, to treat in-stent restenosis. He has accumulated abundant practical experience in the interventional treatment of complex coronary artery disease in the elderly, including the treatment of severe calcification disease and chronic total occlusion.

Dr. Sun has more than 30 years of clinical practice. In addition, he has made significant academic achievements. He has participated in many domestic and international multi-center clinical trials, including CCS-2, and completed a number of provincial and ministry-level projects. Dr. Sun has published 8 SCI papers and more than 100 professional papers in domestic and international professional journals. He also participated in compiling and writing 11 medical books.

Dr. Sun is a member of the interventional group of the Chinese Society of Cardiology, a member of the cardiovascular branch of the Beijing Medical Association, a member of the cardiovascular branch of the Chinese Association of Geriatric Research, and a member of the cardiovascular branch of the Health Exchange and Cooperation across the Taiwan Straits Association.
