Biography

Dr. Cai graduated from The Second Army Medical University in 1986 and later received a medical Master’s degree in Pediatric Orthopedics from The PLA General Hospital in 1994. In 2003, he received his Ph.D. in Orthopedics from Sheffield University, UK.

Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Cai completed his residency and worked in Orthopedics at The Affiliated Teaching Long March Hospital of The Second Army Medical University since 1986. Then he worked in The Pediatric Orthopedics Dept. of the PLA General Hospital for fifteen years. He has also visited and conducted further studies at the pediatric orthopedics department in hospitals in Britain, USA, and Germany.

Dr. Cai specializes in managing common diseases in pediatric orthopedics, especially in treating limb length discrepancy and deformity by Ilizarov technique and CP (Cerebral Palsy). He has published many academic articles in domestic and international journals and participated in writing several professional books.

Dr. Cai speaks English and Mandarin.
