Li SHEN

Dr. Shen Li graduated from Tianjin Medical University in 2003 and obtained a master’s degree in orthopedics from Tianjin Hospital of Tianjin University. In 2008, Dr. Shen completed his residency in various clinical departments and developed expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of various orthopedic diseases.

Prior to joining the Department of Orthopedics at Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Shen studied and worked at Tianjin Hospital of Tianjin University, specializing in spine surgery, trauma orthopedics, sports medicine, and bone disease diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Shen studied under Professor Xu Baoshan of Tianjin Hospital of Tianjin University, and Professor Zhu Bin of the Friendship Hospital of Capital Medical University, who was the first to carry out minimally invasive spine surgery in China. Dr. Shen specializes in the surgical treatment of cervical spondylosis, cervical disc herniation, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, thoracic spinal stenosis, spinal fracture and dislocation, spinal primary tumors and metastases. He specializes in unilateral single-channel spinal endoscopic intervertebral foraminal approach intervertebral discectomy, unilateral single-channel spinal endoscopic interlaminar approach bilateral spinal canal decompression, unilateral dual-channel spinal endoscopic intervertebral discectomy and bilateral spinal canal decompression, posterior cervical endoscopic Keyhole technique, posterior approach cervical laminoplasty， percutaneous vertebroplasty for osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compression fractures, posterior lumbar interbody fusion/PLIF, ultrasound/CT-guided spinal interventional surgery.

Dr. Shen has more than 20 years of clinical experience. In addition to focusing on orthopedics, Dr. Shen also received life support training at the Beijing Emergency Center. In 2008, Dr. Shen showed excellent performance in the Beijing Olympic Games as an athlete’s doctor from the Olympic Organizing Committee.

Dr. Shen was awarded the title of Outstanding Individual in Science and Technology in Tianjin. He has won second place in Tianjin City in the China University Student Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship competition, and the top three in the Beijing Surgical Emergency First Aid Skills Operation Competition.

Dr. Shen has published more than 10 professional papers in core journals such as acta poloniae pharmaceutica, Frontiers in Physiology, Neck and Low Back Pain, and China New Drug and Clinical Medicine, as well as Chinese journals and SCI journals. Dr. Shen participated in one National Natural Science Foundation of China project, one Scientific Research Fund of Tianjin Medical University project, and one Trans-Century Talent Fund project.

Dr. Shen is a youth member of the Orthopedic Injury Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association, a member of the Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Working Group of the Orthopedic Spine Branch of the China Medical Education Association, and the secretary of the Chinese edition of the Journal of Orthopedics, New York Hospital for Special Surgery.
