Zhanmin SHANG

Dr. Shang obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Medicine from Henan Medical University in 1988 and 1994, respectively. After graduation, he worked in the Department of Gastroenterology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical University. In 1999, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Capital Medical University, and in 2011, he studied at Utrecht Medical Center in the Netherlands, for half a year.

Dr. Shang has worked at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital for more than 20 years. He specializes in functional gastrointestinal diseases (including gastroesophageal reflux disease, functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic constipation, and chronic diarrhea), helicobacter pylori infection, chronic liver diseases, and pancreatic diseases. Dr. Shang has advanced endoscopy skills in diagnosing and treating digestive dysfunctions, including early-stage cancer of the digestive tract, gastrointestinal polyps, and gastrointestinal bleeding. In recent years, he has focused on diagnosing and treating refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease and psychosomatic diseases.

Dr. Shang is a member of the Gastrointestinal Motility Group of the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology; a member of the Digestive and Psychosomatic Diseases Cooperative Group of the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology; a standing committee member of the Digestive Branch of the Beijing Medical Association; a deputy group leader of the Functional Gastroenterology Group of the Beijing Medical Association; a member of the Digestive Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctors Association, and a member of the Psychosomatic Society of the Beijing Medical Association.

Dr. Shang has published more than 60 research papers in scientific and Chinese language journals and has participated in the compilation of four monographs, serving as a Chief Editor for one and Deputy Chief Editor for two.
