Ke GONG

Dr. Gong Ke received her medical degree from Baotou Medical University in1982, and was later awarded a medical Masters degree in 1987 from Southeast University. Dr. Gong completed her clinical research fellowship at Weill-Cornell College of Medicine in the United States.

Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Gong served in the department of surgery and oncology at Beijing Shijitan Hospital. Dr. Gong is an expert in general surgical procedures, such as pancreatoduodenectomy, hepatolobectomy, hemihepatectomy, portacaval shunt, breast segmental mastectomy, hernia repair, radical resections of malignant tumors, radical resection of thyroid cancer. She has strong laparoscopic skills in cholecystectomy, choledochotomy and stone removal, appendectomy, suturing of perforated gastric or duodenal ulcers, fenestration of hepatic cysts and enterolysis.

Dr. Gong has over thirty years extensive experience in general surgery and surgical oncology and specializes in the treatment and diagnosis of digestive tract cancer, the clinical application of laparoscopic techniques as well as research on surgical procedures and the mechanism of metabolic diseases. Dr. Gong is published in prominent medical journals, including the Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Obesity Surgery.

Dr. Gong is member of Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
