Dr. Kim received her medical degree from Ewha Womans University in 2000, and was later awarded a Master’s degree in healthcare administration in 2014 from Flinders University in Australia. Dr. Kim completed her residency in Family Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2009, where she rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia to common conditions present throughout a patient’s lifetime.
Before joining United Family Healthcare, Dr. Kim served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia and as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the International Health Center at the Samsung Medical Center.
As a Family Medicine physician, Dr. Kim’s special interests include children’s care, check-ups, and women’s health issues. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kim is interested in providing tailored primary care to cancer survivors and establishing an international healthcare network to ensure the best possible care.
Dr. Kim is board certified by both the American Academy of Family Medicine and the Korean Academy of Family Medicine, and is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians and the Korean Academy of Family Physicians.
