Education Background

• Graduated from the School of Stomatology at Beijing Medical University (now known as Peking University Health Science Center) in 1983. Obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the School of Stomatology, Beijing Medical University in 1987
• In 1991, sponsored by the British Ministry of Education, traveled to the UK and conducted postdoctoral research for 18 months at the Children’s Hospital of the University of London

Work Experience

• With over 30 years of clinical experience, has performed nearly 30000 cleft lip and palate surgeries
• From 1991 to 1996, served as Deputy Chief Physician at Children’s Hospital London, University College London Hospital, and Eastman Dental Hospital
• From 1998 to 2001, worked as a researcher in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Hong Kong, conducting in-depth research on the Mandarin development of infants and young children in Beijing
• Worked at Peking University Stomatological Hospital from 2001
• Served as a specially appointed expert at Beijing United Family Hospital for over 15 years

Academic Achievements

• Translated and co-authored 11 monographs, including “Head and Neck Syndrome,” “Sequential Treatment of Cleft Lip and Palate,” and “Modern Oral Medicine”
• Published over 180 papers in domestic and foreign journals and has guided several master’s and doctoral students
• Participated in multiple international conferences and served as the main spokesperson and conference host
