Dr. Zhou received his Medical Degree from Luzhou Medical College (Presently, Sichuan Medical University, SMU) in 1991 and went on to complete a Master Degree in 1997 at China Medical University. In 2001, He achieved his Doctorate from Capital Medical University, finished his cardiac specialist training under the direct guidance of Prof. Dayi Hu and began to serve as an Attending Physician for the Heart Center, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital. From 2005 to 2011, Dr. Zhou engaged in scientific research in Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Pennsylvania State University and the Heart Center, Wake Forest University School of Medicine in the USA successively.
Dr. Zhou is a professional member of American Heart Association (AHA), a full member of American Physiology Society (APS), a full member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society and a voluntary instructor of Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association (SCAA). In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Zhou also serves as the Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Cardiovascular Disease Research (JCDR), the Educational/CME Chair for Chinese American Heart Association (CNAHA). He has co-authored several medical books and published more than 100 articles in prominent journals. Since 2007, 24 abstracts of his scientific research accomplishments have been accepted by American Heart Association Scientific Session and published on Circulation Supplement.
With over 20 years clinical and scientific research experience, Dr. Zhou is accomplished in the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently-occurring cardiovascular disease, especially specialized in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of cardiac arrhythmia, coronary heart disease, hypertension and hyperlipoidemia.
