Dr. Ren received his Medical Degree from Tianjin Medical University in 2006 and was later awarded a Medical Master Degree from Tianjin Medical University in 2012. Dr. Ren completed his residency in Orthopedics at Tianjin Orthopedic Hospital in 2011, where he rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from trauma and spinal injuries, to joint diseases.
Before joining BJU, Dr. Ren served at the Tianjin Trauma Center in Tianjin Hospital as an expert in orthopedic trauma, and specialized in pediatric and adult trauma orthopedics, hand surgery, and traumatic emergency. During this time, he also completed hundreds of joint replacement and spinal surgeries. In 2019, he went to the United States to study MAKO Robotic Assisted Joint Replacement, becoming certified in the technique in the same year.
Dr. Ren has 14 years of clinical experience. In addition to specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of adult and pediatric trauma, Dr. Ren has also completed basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association and completed the Chinese primary trauma care training and instructor’s training. He also passed the advanced trauma life support (ATLS) training in 2019.
He has published numerous medical papers in prominent medical journals, including the Orthopedic Journal of China, Chinese Journal of Clinical Anatomy, Journal of Surgery, Rheumatology and Orthopedic Medicine, International Journal of Bone and Rheumatology Research, International Archives of Orthopedic Surgery, and the Chinese Journal of Traumatology.
Dr. Ren speaks English and Mandarin.
