Biography

Dr. Washofsky received his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1993, where he received the James D. Heard Award for Outstanding Achievement in Medicine. Prior to that, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1987. Dr. Washofsky completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 1996. He later obtained Fellowship in the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2003.

Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Washofsky worked for over 14 years at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He also has many years of employment in various community hospitals in California and has spent 18 years serving underprivileged Native American Navajo Indian populations through the United States Federal Indian Health Services in New Mexico, Arizona, and South Dakota. More recently, Dr. Washofsky was an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Sunshine and Western hospitals in Melbourne, Australia, where he was affiliated with University of Melbourne School of Medicine.

Dr. Washofsky has over 22 years of clinical experience. He has been a Clinical Faculty member at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center since 1996 and is board certified by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where he also holds a subspecialty in Physiotherapy. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support. Dr. Washofsky is a member of the American Medical Association.
