Dr. Zhang Yanping received her medical degree from Huaxi Medical University (West China University of Medical Science) and later completed her master’s degree in Rheumatoid and Clinical Immunology at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). She completed a second master’s degree in Emergency Medicine the University of Paris VI (UPMC).
Since 1995, Dr. Zhang has been working in the Internal Medicine and Emergency departments of the PUMC Hospital. At the PUMC Hospital, Dr. Zhang eventually became a Chief Resident in the Internal Medicine Department and an attending physician in the Emergency Department. Dr. Zhang was in charge of Emergency care in the Olympic village during the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. Her French language skills allowed to do a fair amount of Mandarin-French translation for medical purposes. She joined BJU in January 2011.
