Biography

Dr. Zhi received his medical Master’s degree from China Medical University and was later awarded a Doctorate from Capital Medical University. Dr. Zhi worked at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, an affiliate of Capital Medical University, for eight years, where he served as an attending physician. Dr. Zhi has completed over a thousand general surgery cases without complications.
Dr. Zhi joined Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics in 2012. He worked closely with the nationally-renowned vascular surgery specialist Dr. Zhang Qiang to establish the Beijing United Family Hospital Vascular Surgery Center.
Dr. Zhi has pioneered the first day case of Venefit surgery for varicose vein, hemangioma excision surgery, and angioplasty mini-invasive surgery for iliac artery occlusion in China.
Dr. Zhi has over 20 years of clinical experience in surgery and vascular surgery. In 2016, he received minimally invasive venous surgery training at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in the United States where he was instructed by recognized vascular surgery specialist, Dr. Steven Elias. Dr. Zhi is very skilled in varicose vein minimally invasive surgery and sclerotherapy for spider veins and reticular veins. Dr. Zhi completes 100 cases of varicose vein minimally invasive surgery every year, where patients can get out of bed and walk around 2 hours after surgery.
Dr. Zhi also specializes in cosmetic suture of complex suture and cosmetic excision of soft tissue lumps. He excels in treatment of DVT, artery disease, breast disease, thyroid disease, hemorrhoid, soft tissue infection, burn injury, nail disorders, gallbladder disease, abdominal external hernia, and other abdominal diseases. Dr. Zhi is a member of the da Vinci robotic surgery team at Beijing United Family Hospital.
Dr. Zhi currently holds an American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Certificate and is a member of the AVF (American Venous Forum). In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Zhi has published numerous papers and participated in many academic conferences both in China and abroad.
