After Dr. Weixin Cui received his medical degree from Capital Medical University in 2001, he began his residency at Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University. Dr. Cui completed his residency at Beijing Tongren Hospital in 2006, and obtained the qualification of attending physician in 2007. In 2015, he completed his specialist fellowship training in laryngology. During his training, he rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of otolaryngology and gained skills in all manner of complex laryngopharyngeal surgery. He was later awarded a medical master’s degree in 2016 from Capital Medical University.
Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Cui served at the Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University as an expert in laryngology. In this time, his duties included performing critical and complex operations, diagnosing and treating functional diseases, educating patients about disease prevention, providing comprehensive treatment, and so on. Dr. Cui has rich experience in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of laryngeal diseases, especially for benign and malignant lesions of the vocal cords, vocal cord leukoderma, sleep disorders in children and adults, voice disorders, and reflux disease.
Dr. Cui has over 10 years of clinical experience. In addition to specializing in the treatment and diagnosis of laryngopharyngeal diseases, he also skilled in routine nose and ear operations such as functional endoscopic sinus surgery and tympanostomy tube in secretory otitis media. In his role at Tongren Hospital, Dr. Cui was also responsible for clinical teaching of residency and graduate students.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Cui has work with two national natural science funds and has published in prominent medical journals, including the European Archives of Otorhinolaryngology and the Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology, Head, and Neck Surgery. He is also a member of the second youth committee of first aid and resuscitation branch of the Chinese society of cardiothoracic anesthesiology.
