Dr. Yu Yin received his bachelor’s degree from the department of Medicine of Beijing Medical University in July 1994, and then received his MD from Peking University Health Science Center in November 2004.
Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, Dr. Yin worked in many hospitals around Beijing as a physician in the fields of Surgery and Sports Medicine. From September 1994 to December 1998, he was a surgical resident of the Third Clinical Medical College of Beijing Medical University. From January 1999 to August 2000, he was the general physician of the Institute of Sports Medicine at the Third Clinical Medical College of Beijing Medical University. From September 2000 to August 2005, he was the physician in charge of inpatients at the Institute of Sports Medicine at the Third Clinical Medical College of Beijing Medical University. From September 2005 to the present, he has been the deputy chief physician of the Institute of Sports Medicine at the Third Clinical Medical College of Beijing Medical University. He is skilled at the diagnosis and treatment of sports trauma and is adept at performing procedures such as knee replacement surgery; arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and wrist (anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, and post intersecting); reconstruction of the ligaments; correction of patellar dislocation; meniscus repair; rotator cuff repair; correction of the dislocation of the shoulder joint; repair of injury to the glenoid labrum; removal of loose bodies of the elbow joint; treatment for subacromial impingement syndrome; and treatment for SLAP injuries.
Dr. Yin has more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice. He also engages in ongoing advanced medical training, including at the National University of Singapore hospital, the Chiba Life Science Comprehensive Hospital in Japan, and the Sports Medicine center of the medical school of the University of Pittsburgh in the USA. In addition, Dr. Yin has written a number of academic articles in famous medical journals. He has also been involved in writing textbooks about practical sports medicine, arthroscopy of the knee joint, and rehabilitation of common sports injuries.
Dr. Yin was a member of the medical expert group for the Chinese national team during the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, the London Olympic Games in 2012, and the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. He is a member of the medical committee of the International Boxing Federation (AIBA) and a committee member of the medical committee of the Chinese Wushu Association.
Dr. Yin speaks Mandarin and English.
