Dr. Li graduated from Capital Medical University in 1974 and then was awarded a doctorate degree from Shiga University of Medical Science in Japan. Dr. Li is currently working in the sports hospital of the State General Administration of Sports in China. He is an expert in diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries. He is especially focused on minimally invasive treatment for limbs and joints, including arthroscopic knee meniscus repair and suture, dislocation of shoulder joints, rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic treatment and physical therapy for traumatic osteoarthritis of the elbow and ankle.

Besides clinical dedication, Dr. Li has spent time giving free public lectures on sports and health. Dr. Li also took part in Olympic studies and was a member of the national athletic medical team. Dr. Li has achieved multiple awards for clinical research and study in the Olympic Games from State General Administration of Sports, notably an award of dedication in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Li is a leading committee member in many associations, including sports medicine and orthopedic arthroscopic surgery in the Chinese Medical Association and the trauma committee of the National Sports Medicine Group. Dr Li also is entitled to special allowances from the State Council.
